Magic Leap米国公開特許リスト

 今年は「VR元年」だそうです。

 花盛りというにはVR対応コンテンツの割合が少ないような気がしますが、目玉であることは間違いないようです。

 最近、CardBoard Cameraと安いVRゴーグルの組み合わせで色々試していますが、没入感を得るためにはそれなりの投資が必要な感じがします。

 当方は、ゲーム自体にはあまり興味がありませんが、TV/DVD視聴用のHDMI入力HMDとして利用できるのであれば一寸食指が動きます。
 いまのところ、候補になっているのはPlayStation(R)VR位ですが、まだ実際に体験したことはありません。

 現在のVRビューワの主流はゴーグルタイプのようですが、結構大掛かりな感じがします。

 少し前から気になっているVR(MR)システムとしてMagic Leapがあります。

 Sensorywareというネーミングは使われるのでしょうか?

 特許明細書に記載の実施例と実際の製品との関係は不明ですが、ざっと見た感じでは結構複雑な技術を使っているようです。
 製造するのも結構大変そうです。
 価格は不明ですが、5万円以下(一寸無理?)なら検討するかも・・・
